Prayers for the Church
emerge from
the Local Church
These were originally a collection of prayers written for a specific community at specific times, going through specific things.
That is why you’ll see communal language in each prayer. The “we,” “our,” and “us” represent moments in gathered worship where individual hearts were joined together before God in praise, proclamation, and intercession. The scattered became gathered, and with one heart and mind, said: “Let it be so.”
As we were open-handed and open-hearted in our offering of prayer to God, we desire to be the same for God’s Church. These prayers are now for you.
And it is our hope that you will be blessed in unimaginable ways as you tend to the presence of God in your life.
A Small Request Regarding These Prayers…
