We, As Your People

Father,

We, as your people, draw close to you. We lean in, as your Church, to abiding rest in you today. We find our hope in you. We find peace in your unfailing love. We proclaim our gratitude for how you walk us through trials and joys, as your beloved daughters and sons.

This morning, Jesus, may we find renewal in you. As we lean on your promises, please breathe new life into the places that are like dwindling embers. As we face the complexity of life and circumstances, show us where you are and where you are taking us. Guide us into your ways. Let us revel in your Kingdom breaking into our midst. Give us the strength to let go of the things that seek to replace You.

We pray for our Church — you know the unspoken and spoken prayers that we bring before you.
We pray for our city — show us where to join you and your work.
We pray for our country — guide and direct our leaders, give them clarity, insight, and wisdom.
We pray for the nations — that your kind and gentle love would bring new provision, hope, and life, Jesus.

And let us not forget those who are oppressed, at the margins, forgotten, betrayed, beaten down, destitute, and displaced. Thank you that you see us. Thank you that you know us. Thank you that you remind us that you are Immanuel. Help us to see with your eyes, and love with your heart.

We pray these things in your precious name, Jesus.

-Amen
