Bringer of Peace and Wholeness

Lord,

You are Christ the Messiah, our Savior and our only hope. Bringer of peace and wholeness — faithful and good, thank you. Thank you for your mercy. Thank you for your grace.

Thank you that we are not alone. Thank you that you have made your home in us, and given us the Church. Thank you for your gentle wisdom and infinite love. Thank you that we can call you friend while standing in awe before you.

Thank you for your trust and invitation to participate in the renewal of all things. Thank you for providing comfort, healing, and provision as a good and faithful Shepherd.

Thank you!

Lord, as your people, we pray for those amongst us who are hurting, lonely, fearful, broken down, and with little hope. We pray that you draw close to them with your presence and tenderness. We pray for those on our prayer list, and for the health and healing of those in need of your supernatural care. We pray for the friends and family of those in mourning, who hold overwhelming grief. We pray for the unspokens that are shouted out loud in the hearts and minds of those who hold them — whatever those things may be. We pray for your Church, our brothers and sisters around the world. We pray for your peace - your shalom - to break through in this world.

Lord, thank you that we can proclaim together that you know us, hear us, and that you care.

This morning, we ask — How might we be a people of prayer, shaped and formed by you?

As we go into a time of silence before you, would you speak to us?

(Join me in a minute of quietness before God.)

Thank You, Jesus.

Amen.
